Canto dell’Acqua is SecondoCerchio’s Sangiovese and Colorino blend, ninety percent and ten. Colorino is not a minor addition here: it deepens the color and smooths the tannin without asking for attention. Twelve months in large oak barrels, enough to round the wine without imposing itself — the oak is present, but it never takes over. Intense, compact ruby red; cherry and plum, violet, a hint of Mediterranean scrubland; clean and direct on the palate, already expressive within two years and holding for eight to ten thanks to the structure the Colorino provides.
